One of these days real soon we'll post a recap about our holiday adventures, but until then, enjoy this picture of Connor in front of the Christmas tree. It's a family tradition to take pictures of the kids each year in the same chair in front of the tree.

Memorial Day weekend was jam packed full of events for us!

On Saturday we attended a "fake" birthday party for Auntie Kris, who is turning 40. The "fake" party was held at a winery in nearby Mt. Airy and was intende to through her off from the main event schedule the following day in Annapolis - her "real" party. There was a wine festival going on that day so we hung on on the lawn under a tent, had lots of good eats, and listened to the bands. Connor enjoyed kicking off his sandals and crawling through the grass. He also finally met Auntie Gretchen and Uncle Norm, who have been sending him endless gifts from New Mexico since he was born. Of course, Auntie Gretchen showed up with some more gifts, which Connor has been playing with ever since. Also in attendance from out of town were Aunties Rita and Gayle. Mid-afernoon J. left to pick up Scott, aka DJ Scotty K (formerly of the Ellend Degeneres Show), with whom he has been friends with since high school. Scott was flying in from LA to provide the music at Kris's party the following night.

On Sunday, Connor got to stay home with Danielle, the former nanny of the kids next door, so that we could attend Kris's "real" party in Annapolis. It was a surprise party on a boat that sailed on the Bay. The boat was perfect - two levels, with the bottom being a dining/bar area and the top level being a bar/lounge area and an outside dance floor. The food was great, the company even better, and the music was ideal - thanks to DJ Scotty K. Most importantly, Auntie Kris was surprised by the whole event. Happy Birthday Kris - we love you!

On Monday - Memorial Day - we went to the pool with Uncle Scott. Connor's face lit up the moment we got near the pool, he smiled and giggled with anticipation of what was to come. The kiddie pool was closed, so we took him in the Daddy pool. He held onto Dad for dear life, but definitely enjoyed putting his hands in the waterfall. He also liked playing with the fountains in the shallow end and seemed to want to get more into the water, but it was too cold! We are aniticpating that he will be spending a lot of time at the pool as he grows up! He has always loved water!

On Tuesday morning Uncle Scott returned home to LA. Appartently his visit over the weekend has rubbed off on Connor, because Connor has been waking up in the morning trying to be a DJ himself by turning on his mobile, repeatedly, in an attempt to mix his own tunes.

A great weekend - thanks Auntie Jean for everything!

This past weekend we spent time in Pittsburgh, visiting Ross's family. It was great spending both Saturday and Sunday at Mono and Great-Pappy's house. Of course, Connor was the entertainment for both days. On Saturday evening we dined at Eat 'n Park where everyone marveled at Connor's appetite ("is he really going to eat all of that?") and was impressed with his skills at devouring a rice cake and playing with spoons, which were happily being banged against the table.

On Sunday, morning Bailey found her Easter basket and gave Connor his very own Easter Bunny. Thanks, Bailey - you're a great cousin!

Grandmas Donna and Mary made a wonderful Easter ham dinner and Connor impressed us all by crawling up the two steps between the sun porch and the living room. Actually, he wasn't fazed by the steps at all - it looked liked he had been climbing steps forever. That's our boy!
